[!] COUNTER-STRIKE: STAR WARS MOD - presentation

Hello ladies and gentlemen!
I would like to present you the job that I started and not finished yet. Posting it here because maybe someone will have awesome advises or would like to help.



So what's this about?
First of all, about 3 years ago, we've designed a mod where everyone is fighting with lightsabers. I thought it's not good enough, so I've invented the idea of moving Clone Wars Era into the GoldSrc Engine. The Idea seems to be good because many people look forward for release.
Clone Troopers vs droids, dark side, versus light side of the force. Custom maps, models, well-made details - this is what I wanted to do. And much job was done, there are screenshots below if you are interested.

The work is now stopped, we cant manage too many things. The mod engine was written for CS 1.6 in AMXX, but i bet that not everything can be solved with amxx. We can't for example make a blaster ('laser/plasma firing weapons) with custom sounds, managing the laser speed and type, and color. Every ideas and propositions will be nice Wink
Also, the force using and lightsaber fighting system is a problem for us.

If you would like to help - it will be nice. We're looking for people to our team to finish this work.

Also, I was thinking about making it a Half Life mod, with a custom client (just a mod/game, like the Counter-Strike is with Half-Life), maybe it would make this work easier. Hope to hear some advises from you guys.

There are few more models made, also the clone trooper units, B2 Super Battle Droid, but still much more to make.

Disney Corporation likes the idea, I've talked with'em. They've sent me to LucasFilm Ltd. for now, who didn't give me the authorization to use the trademarks of Star Wars. Anyway Soon the LucasFilm Ltd. will be closed because Disney has bought the StarWars, so there's "A New Hope" that we'll get the authorisation

Everything sounds really interesting. I never seen a star war mod. Also you should use the halo mod and edit it and put it to ur mod Razz

Fine, we'll propably use cso nst weapon system to make the mod, but i heard there's a modified client required? If so, the project could be another game, based on halflife, just like counter-strike. Waiting for your opinions.

Also its better to keep it original 1.6. There are lots of cso version already and most of them suck.
There is about 4 to 6 CSO NST Version that are awesome Smile

But will cso nst plugin support original cs 1.6?
Also, i will need to operate the weapon system via amxx, I mean I would need to equip a player with a weapon I want. Hope it will work...

CSO-NST is all about amx plugins so it can be used on any 1.6 client.
